Ground Zero (Bucharest)

Ground Zero became my favourite on my visit to Bucharest last spring. Click here for some impressions, and if ever in Bucharest: Ground Zero Beer is a must-drink place!

Again, this beer joint is kind of far out – well, probably Groud Zero-like. If you want to have some pints at the Ground Zero Brewery in Bucharest, you need to leave the city center and go quite far to the northern suburbs. Located in the business and working district of Aviatiei, tram No. 16 or 36 might be your choice (disembark at Platforma Industriala Pipera). Or, more simple, take one of the many E-Scooters you find all over Romanias capital. However, it is for sure worth going, as Ground Zero Beer will welcome you with the finest of industral flair and – of course – great beers!

Located just between garages and mechanics, the industrial vibes are all over the place. Simply plastered from the outside, the inside of Ground Zero Beer is coverd in bricks. The seating combines wood and steel.

What else to say about this wonderful place? The so called „Hangar“ of Ground Zero Beer offers some 20 beers on tap, a lot of them IPAs and NEIPAs, so they totally had me happy!

So, if you are ever in Bucharest: Have some very decent beers at Ground Zero!
